Have you ever heard of Addison's. Me either until I found out I had it.It is pretty rare affecting 1 in 100,000. The main cause is unknown but your adrenal glands are the culprit.Those glands sit on top of your kidneys. They affect all the other glands in your body. They affect the thryoid,cholestrol,high blood pressure,diabetes,vision changes, and WEIGHT GAIN from the steroids. A craving for salt is a huge sign.I mean like eating a bag of Fritos all at one time because you crave the salt.I lost 17 lbs.so easily(a sign). Now because of the steroids I have taken on a new look. Alot of fat around my middle and in my face(like COJO) but not as bad yet although I am gaining now about 3-5-lbs a month. Fatigue is really a problem.I am now on physical therapy because I was so tired I could not and did not want to move but weak legs are also a sign. From Oct.2007 til now I have really been through the ringer but now I can see the light of day.I now take 5 meds in the morning and 15 meds at night.Isn't life grand!!! but it's alot better than the alternative.Before I took only 3 meds a day ,what a change. If anyone wants to know anything else just let me know.I am now an authority on the subject. Hope you all
